Welcome to Cafixi ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using Cafixi, you agree to the practices described here.

a) Information You Provide

  • Account information: email address, phone number, or third-party authentication (Apple, Google).
  • Vehicle information: make, model, year, mileage, and reported symptoms you submit for diagnosis.
  • Photos: images of engine bays, dashboards, leaks, or other vehicle components that you upload for AI analysis.
  • Maintenance & fuel logs: data you choose to record in the app.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Location data: approximate location (with your permission) to find nearby repair shops.
  • Device information: device type, OS version, app version, and unique identifiers.
  • Usage data: features used, diagnosis frequency, errors encountered.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI-powered diagnostic results based on your input and photos.
  • To recommend nearby repair shops based on your location.
  • To improve the accuracy and quality of our Service.
  • To manage subscriptions, billing, and customer support.
  • To send service-related notifications (e.g., maintenance reminders).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

Cafixi uses the following third-party services to deliver our features. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • OpenAI (GPT-4o): for AI diagnosis. Photos and text you submit may be processed by OpenAI's API.
  • Google Places API: for nearby shop recommendations using your location.
  • Firebase (Google): for authentication and analytics.
  • Apple App Store / RevenueCat: for subscription management.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account remains active. Diagnosis history is stored to provide your usage records. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).

Photos submitted for AI analysis may be temporarily processed and are not retained beyond what is necessary to return the diagnosis result, unless saved by you in your account history.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and personal data.
  • Export your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Cafixi is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International Users

Cafixi is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be notified through the app or via email.
